Stacking the tile vertically instead of in a running bond draws the eye upward, which matters in a room with a low ceiling. The same tile laid horizontally would make the room feel wider and shorter.

Every plan comes from Matt or Paul, and so does every reply. Ask us why we chose something, whether a different sofa would work, how to phase it if the budget's tight, or what to do first. We answer personally, for as long as you're working on the room.
